I am a Christian currently studying a Modern European Languages degree (Spanish, French & Italian) at Liverpool University in the United Kingdom. In my spare
time I am an active member of the Liverpool City Christian Union, where I play the drums
in the worship band. Back at home, I am also a member of the House of the Open
Door's worship band and the drummer in a 5-piece Birmingham-based rock band, more information on the projects
page.
Aside from music, one of my main hobbies and subsequent areas of experience is that of data-driven web development. This interest started in about
1997 and in the intervening years I have gained valuable experience of HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, ASP, PHP and MySQL as well as other related
technologies. My interests were nurtured by the development and continual improvement of delirious.uk.net, which
undertook two major redesigns before coming to rest in its current state. This provided me with opportunities to practice new skills as I learnt them, as
well as gain experience of running a relatively high-profile web site which needed to retain a high standard of both technical usability and factual
accuracy. I am a beta tester on WebSoftware's award-winning HotHTML web authoring
program and an Administrator and Moderator on the forums at developerfusion.com, the UK's largest community for developers.
I also have some experience of professional non-linear video editing and DVD authoring, using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Encore DVD.
I work for Liverpool University's Computing Services Department, providing students with free technical support with connecting to, and use of, the
high-speed internet connections which are provided in the halls of residence. I am in the process of rebranding my business which offers web site
design and internet services - more information will be available in the near future on the caeus.com page.
I attended secondary school at King Edward's School in Birmingham. It was here that
my love of the performing arts really blossomed. I took an active part in all areas of school Drama, participating both technically and as an actor in
productions such as Guys & Dolls, West Side Story, The Crucible, Oliver!, South Pacific and Les Misérables. I was also a drummer in the school swing band
and a percussionist in the orchestra. Notable performances included Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet, Rimsky-Korsikov's Capricio Espagnol and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
